I am attaching a photo of my old church, where I was a choirboy approx 1939 - 1945.

I believe that it was founded just after WWI when it was constucted in corrugated iron and was bricked round in 1952. This photo was taken by me in 2005. Derek Crompton January 2007

The Church of the Nazarene a Wesleyan Evangelical Church, Croft House, Stamford Street, Ashton-under-Lyne Formerly Stamford Street Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. Prior to this the residence of John Ross Coulthart, manager of the District Savings Bank, Ashton-under-Lyne and first built circa 1818 as the town house of the Hegginbottom Family founder of the eponymously named School and Library
